Health and Safety policies, Accident Forms and Junior Medical Forms

PFO complete a Risk assesment form before all of their events. You can find our guidelines for dealing with an incident/accident and accident report forms here.  You can find a generic Junior Medical Form here. This may be needed for club training, trips to events etc. There is also a document outlining the funding that PFO will provide for members of the NWJS and what juniors have to do to earn and claim the funding.

We still have Trimtex PFO tops available at £40.  1/M 1/L 4/XL 1/XXL.  They are very tight to size, so XL is the most common size.

About Us


Pendle Forest Orienteers are a small orienteering club based around Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, Accrington and Blackburn. We organise around 12-15 events each year locally, as well as training events for our members.

What is orienteering

Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises both the mind and the body. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time. It does not matter how young, old or fit you are, as you can run, walk or jog the course and progress at your own pace.
