Hannah Goldswain gets International Call up.

BRGS Team BSOC 2014,

Hannah Goldswain has been selected for World Schools Championships in Orienteering 2015 to be held in Antalya, Turkey next April. This was icing on the cake for the Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School orienteering team that took part in the British Schools Orienteering Championships 16th November. On that day the Year 12 girls team of Hannah Goldswain, Anjuli Clough (who only started orienteering in September) and Corinna Howorth got second place. Jamie Hoyle just missed out on a podium place for year 12 boys

British Schools Orienteering Champs 2012

PFO juniors had a good turnout for their Schools at the BSOC today in Delamere forest. The BRGS Year 8 Girls team came in first place with Corrina Howorth also coming 1st in the individual placings. The winning year eight girls team was made up of Corrinna Howorth (1st), Chloe Brotherton (10) and Rebecca Hall (15th).

PFO Juniors qualify for the Yvette Baker Trophy Final

Seventeen PFO juniors competed in the preliminary round of the Yvette Baker Trophy at the EPOC event at Ogden Water today.  This was a great turnout for a small club

Well done all the PFO juniors who competed at the British Schools Orienteering Champs held at Beecraigs Country Park, Linlithgow, West Lothian on Nov 20th.
The BRGS Boys Yr 9 team came 4th - just missing a podium place.
