Mini Mountain Marathon - on your doorstep!
TODMORDEN HARRIERS MINI MOUNTAIN MARATHON/SCORE EVENT
Date - Sunday 19th February
Start Times - 11am - 12 noon (1 hour start window for a 3 hour event.)
Venue - Pack Horse Inn, Widdop, HX7 7AT.
Punch type - pin punch and control card
Cost - £8 inc. food (meat or veggy option). Tea and coffee will be available at the Start.
Never done a score event before? Then come along and have a go. You can run solo or as a team of 2. Brush up on your navigation as well!
Rules are simple....... You have 3 hours to visit as many checkpoints as possible. Each checkpoint has a different value and the one with the most points wins! There will be different categories for winners and the pub is laying on food after the event. Maps and checkpoint descriptions will be issued on the day. As for kit requirements.......it's wild up there in winter so please come prepared for all weathers!
Just a couple of more rules.........please car share as much as possible and please do not park in the pub car park (there is plenty of parking on the road side). Also, please do not go into the pub after the event with muddy trainers. The finish will be outside so you won't need to go in the pub until you have changed.
FRIDAY NIGHT SCORE EVENT (1 hour)
Also, on Friday night (17th), we will be holding a night time score event from the same place. Mass Start at 7pm, with 1hour to find as many checkpoints as possible. Pin punch and control card. Again, food (meat or veggy) will be available in the pub afterwards. Total cost again is £8 inc. food, maps and prize giving.
