Orienteering Events
     
OMM   Was the KIMM, now it's the OMM. Original Mountain Marathon is the ultimate test of fitness and navigation skills and is at the forefront of the adventure racing scene. This years event is held in Galloway Forest in Scotland.
     
Scottish 6-Day   An international event held in Scotland each year over 6 competitive days. Next event is in Spey 2007
     
JK   Jan Kjellström was a Swedish pioneer of our sport and this event is named after him. It has been attended by PFO orienteers for the last two years. The 2007 event is in the Forest of Dean.
     
The Capricorn   The PFO flagship event, a two day mountain orienteering competition. The 2006 event was held at Kingsdale, the valley to the west of Whernside, the popular mountain in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Fell Running Association   Many fell runners are good orienteers and vice versa. For this one, ditch the map and embark on the ultimate fitness test.
     
The Mary Townley Loop   A 47 mile circular bridleway. Goes from Waterfoot, to Crown Point, Holme Chapel, Hurstwood, Gorple, Jack Bridge, Hebden Bridge, Summit, Watergrove, Whitworth and back to Waterfoot over Rooley Moor Rd. See where you can get on two wheels. Split it up into sections unless your really bike fit because there are some hills from hell.

Munro Magic   For those who don't know a Munro is a Scottish mountain reaching 3000ft or more. There are 284 mountains named after Sir Hugh Munro. After battle with a storm in the Black Cuillin Range, I still haven't completed a Munro, but... i'm working on it.
