Information

Alkincoats was once an estate owned by the de Alkincoats family, which in 1570 comprised several estates.

Today the mapped area is publicly owned parkland and playing fields with extensive areas of woodland in the margins. Recently, parts of the park have been "re-wilded" with young plantations and rough areas. The area is gently sloping north to south and generally offers fast running throughout.

The Pavillion Cafe, BB8 9QQ, by the bowling greens, serves excellent home cooked meals and snacks every day of the week.
