The table below shows the orienteering age class for a given age of competitor.
This differs from the classifications used for fell running and other sports.
When entering orienteering events, the age class below is prefixed by M for Men or W for Women.

*Your age should be the age you will be at the end of the current year.
Examples
- A girl who is 13 in February has the same age class as someone who has their 14th birthday in December — both are W14.
- A man born in March 1960 has the same age class as one born in November 1956 — both are M60.
