PFO members have been busy this week, with some fantastic results in trail running, fell racing and orienteering across the UK and Europe.

Transgrancanaria

Huge congratulations to Ben Mounsey and Kirsty Hall, racing at the iconic Transgrancanaria. Ben finished 9th in the VK El Gigante and then 3rd in the 12km Promo race the following day. Kirsty smashed the Vertical Kilometer, finishing 1st Vet on the steep 5.5km course with over 1000m of climb.

Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round

Closer to home, Karen, Dave M and Izzy took on the Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round from Barley. The classic 15km route around Pendle, with around 545m of climb, is always a proper test of fell running legs.

Warsaw City Race

Further afield, Hannah, Cath H, Emma and Kay travelled to Poland for the Warsaw City Race, part of the City Race Euro Tour. Four races over three days, including a memorable indoor event across the University, with Kay finishing 3rd overall.

Nine other PFO members were also out competing at orienteering events hosted by SROC, SELOC and DEE.

Great to see PFO members flying the flag everywhere this week, from volcanic climbs to Pendle fells to city sprint racing.
