Local level event

Explanation of Event levels

  • Training events are non competitive events used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport.
  • Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Most clubs run some 'mini series' throughout the year as local mid week events.
  • Regional events attract participants from around the local Region.
  • National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away,
  • Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships or the annual JK competition.

RouteGadget A bit of a muddle with the control numbers! Sorry about that.
Andy has "corrected" the results by amending to the actual control box numbers. Routegadget is now available - You will need to manually enter your name and time when drawing your route.

Judging by the post-event discussion and the number of complaints about stinging nettles, you must have all enjoyed your runs. Some impressive results.
Whilst collecting controls that were surrounded by long grass it was possible to see the wide variety of routes to and from the control. Interesting - just as the planner hoped!

The League Table drawn up by points value after one week is available under Downloadable Documents below Best three events out of four will contribute to your final tally. Overall winners will be determined after event 4. Just for the record, in the week 1 league table results for Towneley East I have had to deduct points from three competitors who took controls out of order - two on MINI and one on MAXI. Remeber for next week: vistit all or any 10s, before 15s, before 20s.

Next week the control numbers will be as intended: 10 points 101 to 107, 15 points 111 to 117, 20 points 121 to 127. Good luck every one.
